About Eastham School of Motoring
When John Milne established the Eastham School of Motoring in 1980, his mission was to provide friendly and approachable driver training that as well as preparing clients for success in their driving tests, just as importantly prepared them for a lifetime of safe driving experiences. Many hundreds of successful clients later, we are still training novice drivers to 'L' test standard, and 'Pass Plus' for new drivers, but have now expanded our services to include refresher and 'mature' drivers courses, UK familiarisation, and advanced/defensive and eco-safe driver training for individuals and company clients. We are determined to continue to promote risk awareness and positive attitudes towards road safety and reduce our client's likelihood of involvement in a road traffic incidents or accidents.
John is an acknowledged specialist in driving psychology and can offer a range of services including driving 'stress/frustration' management, addressing driving 'phobias and anxieties', psychometric testing and driver profiling, and the preparation of cost/effective independent expert witness testimonies for court or disciplinary proceedings in relation to road traffic incidents, speeding, due care and attention, traffic lights and other more serious driving offences. We provide practical advice and retraining courses for traffic offenders, and preparation for the DSA 'extended' driving test following disqualification, and for the retesting of 'totting up' probationary drivers under the 'New Driver Regulations'.
With the growing movement towards more environmentally friendly driving, we are now registered Dept. for Transport providers of innovative EcoDriving courses for car drivers, and SAFED (Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving) training for van drivers; all designed to enhance safety whilst reducing hydrocarbon emissions.
